Partnership With Inuit Communities
Building Together, Growing Together
Kori Agriculture recognizes that our work takes place on Inuit Nunangat — Inuit homelands — and on the traditional territories of Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge this with humility and see it not as a formality, but as the foundation of our project's mission.
Our approach is rooted in partnership, co-development, and mutual respect. We aim to build trust and long-term relationships with Inuit communities by:
Engaging Local Workforce
Hiring and training community members to operate and maintain the farms, creating sustainable jobs and skills development opportunities.
Knowledge Transfer
Providing workshops and educational programs on hydroponics, food production, and technology, empowering local populations to lead and adapt the system themselves.
Community Innovation Hubs
Integrating tools like 3D printing and small-scale fabrication inside our farms to support local entrepreneurship, repair, and creative projects.
Co-Designing Deployment
Working hand-in-hand with local organizations, elders, and youth to ensure each installation meets community needs and respects cultural priorities.
For us, Kori Agriculture is not just a food project — it is a collaborative effort to strengthen food sovereignty, autonomy, and innovation in the North, led with and for the communities we serve.
